Europair was honoured to be appointed for the organisation of a private flight to accompany a group of Canadian veterans and their companions onboard an Embraer Legacy 600 to the commemoration events that took place in England and France in connection with the 75^th anniversary of the Normandy landing.

On June 6^th 1944, tens of thousands of troops from the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada invaded the beaches of Normandy, in the north of France, to liberate Europe from the Nazis. The so-called “D-day” is considered the greatest maritime incursion in history and marked the end of the Second World War.

About three hundred veterans – most of them now in their nineties – participated in an emotional ceremony where they received the tribute and standing ovation of numerous heads of state as well as more than 60,000 attendees to the event.

A great military spectacle with aerial exhibits, parades, concerts and many other activities brightened a ceremony with a profound emotional and historical background: to honour the courage and sacrifice of thousands of men and women and to make sure that this chapter of our history will never repeat.
