Zaragoza is the capital of the Aragon region in northeastern Spain, the fourth largest community in Spain. It lies on the banks of the Ebro River, and the city is dominated by the Baroque basilica Nuestra Señora del Pilar, a famous pilgrimage destination with a shrine to the Virgin Mary.
